Review of transport theories in macroscopic systems: Drude model, Bloch theory, Boltzmann equation Landauer transport theory Scattering theory, Green’s functions, self energy Density matrix theory for open quantum systems Charge transport in atomic point contacts and wires, molecular junctions Analysis of transport mechanisms and phenomena (electron-electron interaction, electron-phonon interaction, Coulomb blockade, Franck-Condon blockade, conductance quantization, interference effects, heat transport, …).
